Cold-Pressed Oils
What is cold-pressed oil?
Cold-pressed oil is extracted from seeds or nuts using a traditional mechanical press (Ghani) without heat or chemicals. This preserves the oil's natural nutrients, vitamins, aroma, and flavour - unlike refined oils which are processed at high temperatures with chemical solvents.
What is the difference between cold-pressed and refined oil?
Cold-pressed oils retain natural colour, aroma, vitamins, and antioxidants. Refined oils undergo bleaching, deodorising, and chemical processing which strips away most nutrients. Cold-pressed means zero chemicals; refined uses hexane and other solvents.
Which cold-pressed oil is best for cooking?
It depends on the dish. Groundnut oil is great for deep-frying (high smoke point). Sesame oil adds depth to South Indian dishes. Coconut oil works well for light sautéing and baking. Sunflower oil has a neutral flavour for everyday cooking.
How should I store cold-pressed oil?
Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. Cold-pressed oils have a shorter shelf life than refined oils (typically 6-12 months) because they retain natural compounds. Keep the bottle tightly sealed after use.

How can I check if honey is pure?
Try the water test (pure honey sinks without dissolving), the thumb test (stays thick, doesn't spread), or the flame test (pure honey lights a matchstick). Our honey is also FSSAI certified and lab-tested for purity.
Why does your honey look different from store-bought honey?
Our honey is raw and unpasteurized - it retains natural pollen, enzymes, and colour variations based on the floral source and season. Commercial honey is often ultra-filtered and heated, giving it a uniform clear appearance but removing most natural benefits.
Is your honey safe for children?
Our honey is 100% pure and natural. However, as per medical guidelines, honey of any kind should not be given to infants under 12 months of age due to the risk of botulism.

How should I store spices?
Store whole spices in airtight containers in a cool, dark place. Whole spices retain flavour for 2-3 years. Avoid pre-ground spices when possible - they lose aroma within weeks. Grind fresh for best results.
